Man creates trouble at airport,held

The airport police arrested a man for creating trouble at the Pune International Airport on Wednesday. The arrested has been identified as Kris Thomas,a resident of White Field in Bangalore.

Assistant inspector AS More of the Airport police station said Thomas had started a quarrel with the Kingfisher Airlines staff at its counter over flight delay and later indulged in a scuffle with the CISF personnel at the airport.

“Thomas told us that he is a software engineer and owns a software firm in Bangalore. He had come to Pune on Wednesday morning for some official work. He was about to return to Bangalore the same day,” said More.

More said that the scuffle started after he learned that his flight had been delayed for two hours.

“He also indulged in a scuffle with the CISF personnel,causing disturbance to their work,” he said. Aashishkumar Mishra,an officer with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF),had lodged the complaint in this regard.

The Airport police arrested Thomas under Section 353 (causing disturbance in government work),504 (Intentional insult and provocation for breaking public peace) and 506 (Criminal Intimidation) of Indian Penal Code.

Thomas was produced in a city court on Thursday,which released him on bail.
