A three-day annual conference on ‘Paediatric Hematology and Oncology ‘ under the aegis of Paediatric Hematologic Oncology Chapter of Indian Academy of Paediatrics was inaugurated in Advanced Pediatric Centre, PGI by Director professor K K Talwar on Saturday.
A group of children, survivors of blood cancer, performed before the audience. On the occasion, Professor BNS Walia, former Director and Head of Pediatrics, PGIMER, highlighted the advances in management of childhood cancer. Professor David Walker from UK delivered the lecture on genetic aspects of childhood cancer. There was a session on “Cord blood banking “ chaired by Professor Neelam Marwaha, Head of Transfusion Medicine, PGI.
