  • Amidst reports of people from Hindi-speaking states fleeing Maharashtra, there is one Maharashtrian who is trying to do the opposite: find a foothold in the Hindi heartland. Maharashtra PWD Minister and NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal addressed a rally under the banner of his pocket organisation, the Samata Parishad, at Jaipur this weekend to woo people of his Maali community. He organised similar OBC conventions in Delhi and Patna earlier. Considering that Bhujbal is a former Shiv Sainik, Bal Thackeray may have reason to feel that some of the lessons he taught Bhujbal were lost on his disciple.
