Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology A Raja said today that he was ready to face any investigation into the alleged scandal in allocation of 2G spectrum. I am ready for any investigation into this but the investigation should get to the root of the issue. I am being targeted because I broke the cartel in the telecom sector, Raja said talking to mediapersons at the World Telecommunications Development Conference-2010 being held here.
When asked about Prime Minister Manmohan Singhs statement in New Delhi today that action would be initiated at any level if corruption is proven,Raja said,It is universal truth that action will be taken against anyone found guilty.
The ITU World Telecommunication Development Conference opened today here with a call to meet the connectivity targets by 2015. This global meeting will focus on development priorities in telecommunications and information and commu- nication technologies (ICT) and programmes,projects and initiatives to implement them. ITU secretary-general Hamadoun Touré said,What we decide and define here will shape not just the future of ICT development over the next four years,but the future shape of the very world we live in.
