The first day of CAT (Common Aptitude Test) online examinations went off smoothly in centres in Gujarat, even though it had to be rescheduled for some students elsewhere in India.
In Gujarat, the tests were conducted in three colleges in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, namely LDRP Institute of Technology and Research, L J Institute of Management Studies and Vishwakarma Government Engineering College.
Around 6,500 students took the test on the first day. About 2.41 lakh students will be taking the exams at 105 centres in 32 cities across the country in 10 days.
“The tests were very smooth in Gujarat,” said CAT convenor and IIM-A professor, Satish Deodhar.
Delays and rescheduling were reported from various centres, including Bangalore where the test had to be rescheduled for nearly 350 candidates.
