Pakistani national arrested in Jammu

A Pakistani national was arrested along with his local contact by police.

A Pakistani national,who was staying at a rented accommodation at Barnai on the outskirts of Jammu city for the last one week,was arrested along with his local contact by police today morning.

Identified as Wahid Alam,25,of Karachai,he had entered India via Nepal,police said,adding that his local contact Monu of Jaswan in Kanachak area too has been arrested.

Giving details,sources said that Wahid and Monu were working for a Christian missionary organization in their respective contries. Duo had gone to Nepal to attend their three day conference beginning July 16.

Wahid,who had gone to Nepal via Karachi,did not return to his native country after the conclusion of the conference,but came to Siliguri along with Monu on July 20. From there,both came to Jammu where they hired a room at Barani to open their office.

Police have registered a case and started investigations.
