Pilot falls to death from Rohini highrise

A 25-year-old pilot from Mumbai died after he fell from the seventh floor of a building in Rohini on Saturday night,police said.

A 25-year-old pilot from Mumbai died after he fell from the seventh floor of a building in Rohini on Saturday night,police said.

Jonathan Joseph Fernandes,a resident of Multan Nagar in West Delhi,had gone to Jaya Apartments in Rohini’s Sector-9 Rohini to celebrate a friend’s birthday.

Fernandes had completed his flying course from the US and was preparing for the examinations conducted by aviation regulator DGCA,for getting a licence in India.

Police said they received a call at 12.35 am from Saroj Hospital,where Fernandes was taken after the incident. “It seems he fell accidentally. We are investigating all angles,” said a senior police officer.

He had come for a party thrown by his friend Hitesh Mahashay,who is also a pilot,police said.
