Skating: city girl bags gold

    Soham Sandbhor of Pune won two gold medals in the CBSE National Roller Skating Championship held at Chandigarh from November 12-15. Soham was one of four skaters from the city to win a medal.

    After bagging gold in their respective categories in the West Zone championship at Vadodara in September, Soham Sandbhor, Anjana Narayan, Divya Gugle and Kshitija Shingte all won medals at the national level event.

    Sandbhor won gold in the Road Race and in the Rink Race. Anjana and Divya both won the silver medal in the Rink Race in their respective age categories while Kshitija won bronze.

    All four are students of Vikhe Patil Memorial School and train under Ashok Gunjal.

    Results: Soham Sandbhor - Road Race Gold and Rink Race II Gold; Anjana Narayan - Rink Race II Silver; Divya Gugle- Rink Race II Silver; Kshitija Shingte - Rink Race I Bronze.
