Pak players cleared for IPL 3
Pakistani cricketers are all set to return to the IPL next season with the PCB deciding to give the go ahead. Board chairman Ejaz Butt said the PCB would not object to its players taking part in the lucrative T20 league and has conveyed this to IPL commissioner Lalit Modi.
Bangladesh win ODI series
Naeem Islam's unbeaten 73 led Bangladesh to a one-wicket victory over Zimbabwe in the fifth and final ODI on Thursday and take the series 4-1. Earlier, Zimbabwe posted 221/9. For Zimbabwe, Justice Chibhabha took 2/25 and Stuart Matsikenyeri 2/52.

Indian cagers win silver
Indian women won silver in the 3-on-3 basketball event at the ongoing third Asian Indoor Games in Hanoi. India outplayed favourites Jordan 34-22 in the opening game before defeating Vietnam 33-13 and Kuwait 35-10 to finish second. Meanwhile, cueist Manan Chandra lost his third place play-off against UAE’s Mohamed Al-Hashmi in the 15-Red Snooker 54-18 46-31 58-59 25-68 15-70 41-60.
Suchde crashes out
India’s lone challenge Siddharth Suchde crashed out of the $11,250 China Open squash after losing to Australia’s Matthew Karwalski 11-6 9-11 11-6 9-11 3-11 in 56 minutes in the quarter-finals in Shanghai.
Randhawa placed tied ninth
Jyoti Randhawa carded four-under 68 to lie tied ninth after the first round of the WGC-HSBC Champions golf tournament. Indian Jeev Milkha Singh was tied 48th with 1-over 73 while C Muniyappa and Gaganjeet Bhullar are tied 57th at 2-over 74.
