The Indian Society of Remote Sensing,Pune Chapter,will organise a national symposium on Remote Sensing & Geoinformatics in Infrastructure Development & Management from November 29 to December 4. The event will be held at Sinhagad College of Science,Pune,and Sinhagad Technical Education Society,Lonavala.
The convention will provide an overview of the key concepts in geoinformatics and its applications in infrastructure development and management. Over 300 scientists,technicians,researchers and professionals from across the nation and South Asian countries have registered for the symposium.
The Bhaskara Award and the Vikram Sarabhai Lecture are the highlights of the symposium. This year the Vikram Sarabhai Lecture will be delivered by former director of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre,Prof Pramod Kale,on water availability in the coming decades.
