Tales of a bodyguard

Every Eid,Salman Khan has surprised the audience with his action-packed films like Wanted and Dabangg. This year,the beefy actor is set to hit the screen yet again in an action-packed avatar with Bodyguard. At an event to unveil the first look of the film,Salman turned the spotlight on his real-life bodyguard,Shera,who has been with him for over 15 years. Said Shera,“I am honoured that Salman Khan has dedicated this event to me. It has been 15 years that I have been with him and I would like to let you know that though I always say to him that I can take a bullet for you,it is actually him,who can take 10 bullets for his family,friends and all his loved ones. Salman is very affectionate. I am glad to be associated with him. He is actually a bodyguard for all his loved ones.”

While Shera couldn’t stop raving about the star,Salman too was very generous while praising his bodyguard. “Shera is like family. I can trust him with money,family,girls,my life; I can also trust him alcohol ke pehle aur alcohol ke baad! While he has protected me from being beaten,he himself has been beaten up by me!” He further adds,“Once Shera was in the mood for boxing. He boxed down singer Kamaal Khan,he also defeated Atul Agnihotri,who actually started bleeding. After beating these two,he came to me and said Chalo Salman bhai,it’s your turn now,aaj koi bodyguard wodiguard nahin,today I am a boxer. Having said this,he ran towards me like a bull. I was petrified seeing this avatar of his,but soon I raised my hand and clobbered him hard. ”

For his role in Bodyguard,where he plays Kareena Kapoor’s guardian,Salman took tips from Shera. Now that’s one dedicated actor!
