Three members of a family,including a six-year-old child,were found dead inside their house in Tanda town of Ambedkar Nagar district on Friday morning. Police suspect poisoning as the cause of death.
Police said Ramgopal Saini,who works as a peon in an educational institute in Ambedkar Nagar,had gone to Delhi on Thursday. Sainis mother Kama Devi (60),his wife Kanchan (32) and son Dhairya (4) were found dead inside their house.
The family runs a flower shop at their house and the deaths came to light on Friday morning as some people went to buy flowers there for Ram Navmi but found that Kama Devi was lying unconscious near the door.
Tanda Station House Officer Omvir Singh said the body of Kama Devi was found near the main entrance of the house,the body of Kanchan was found in her room while Dhairyas body was found in the washroom. He said they appear to have died in the night.
The post-mortem reports are awaited,he added.
