UP: Dalits house burnt,children hurt

A Dalits house was allegedly set on fire in Kanpur,leaving his four children critically injured,while another Dalit was allegedly burnt to death in Kannauj district

A Dalits house was allegedly set on fire in Kanpur,leaving his four children critically injured,while another Dalit was allegedly burnt to death in Kannauj district on Monday. Both incidents were reported to be the fallout of land disputes.

In Kanpur,DIG Rajesh Kumar Rai said a fire broke out in Hari Ram Gautams house in Sidhhanath Nagar early Monday morning while his daughters Maya,Mamta and Sunita and son Babu,were asleep. While neighbours managed to douse the flames,the children suffered extensive burns.

In Kannauj district,75-year-old Ram Kishun Kori was burnt to death after a fire broke out in his hutment in Thathia area Monday morning.
