Shiv Sena has claimed that their party activists beat up and drove away railway recruitment examinees.

Shiv Sena on Monday claimed that their party activists beat up and drove away scores of candidates from northern region candidates who came for railway recruitment exams in Mumbai.

The party mouthpiece 'Saamana' said that Shiv Sainiks were monitoring the movements of those who arrived in the metropolis throughout the night and beat the candidates.

Sena Executive President Uddhav Thackeray was quoted as saying that the Railway Board was not advertising jobs in local newspapers thus depriving Maharashtrians of an opportunity to apply for various posts.

An unapologetic MNS chief Raj Thackeray, addressing a function in Ahmednagar district on Sunday night, defended the anti-north Indians stir even as Railway minister Lalu Prasad described him as a ‘mental case’.

Shiv Sena sources said the party's taking to street hooliganism was inevitable as the MNS was leaving no stone unturned to hijack its agenda.

Advert.on jobs.By: Usha Singh | 22-Oct-2008 Reply | Forward Local people from Maharashtra should be given first preference then the outside from other states.Maharashtra gives the maximum revenue to the Central Government so why step motherly treatment to the local Maharashtrians.
entry from back door.By: Indi | 21-Oct-2008 Reply | Forward Will UPA and congress impose presidents rule in maharastra? President's rule or congress rule, there is no difference for them. It is the power which will be in there hand when congress or president is in power. Its only when non congress parties are in power, they cannot tolerate that and threaten to impose presidents rule to gain entry from back door.

face realityBy: common man | 21-Oct-2008 Reply | Forward My friend face the reality first. This is just cheap vote bank politics by the 2 Parties. These people are actually worst than the people doing blasts. If India was ruled for over 100 years, i am very sure it was because of people like the Thack...'s, who have no agenda and do anything for political favours.

Congress supporting MNSBy: GPal | 21-Oct-2008 Reply | Forward Goonda Raj with tacit support from Congress..This is another example of Congress Divide and rule policy. Congress is a mute spectator as they are thinking that supporting MNS would weaken the Shiv Sena. Can Congress explain why no notice was sent to Maharashtra govt under 355 356. This is bigger danger to the unity of the country. Now the elections whill teach a lesson to the Congress..
