Local trains were delayed by upto 45 minutes on the central line today due to an overhead wire snapping at Mulund railway station in Mumbai. The trains were running upto 45 minutes behind schedule due to wire snapping at platform number 1 and 2 of the railway station. Services in north-bound direction have been restored on the slow track,but work is still on to repair the other wire,railway officials said. The traffic had to be re-routed on fast track due to which services were delayed,causing inconvenience to the morning commuters,they said. The incident took place around 5.45 am.
