Tigers Woods was reportedly undergoing intense marriage counselling on Thursday,a day after the golf superstar admitted transgressions in his private life. The Chicago Sun-Times reported Woods was holed up at the family home in Florida with wife Elin as the steady stream of tabloid revelations concerning his alleged affairs showed no sign of abating.
Rachel Uchitel, the New York nightclub hostess who had denied an affair with the golfer, cancelled a press conference in which her lawyer Gloria Allred was to talk about Uchitels relationship with Woods. Allreds daughter said on Friday that canceling the press conference could mean only one thing she had made a deal with the Woods camp.
There were also rumours that Tiger Woods has offered his wife Elin Nordegren $80 million to stay in the marriage and keep her from taking off with their kids.
Meanwhile, the golfers neighbours told police in subsequent interviews that Woods was unconscious and snoring immediately after last weeks accident.
The neighbour,Jarius Lavar Adams, said he found Woods’s wife standing over her husband outside begging for help. She said,Can you please help me? Can you please help me.
Tiger Woods’s fall from grace calls into question the very idea of sports hero worship. No one has approached this level of perfection on and off the playing surface, maybe ever, without a single blot or tarnish, said Dave Czesniuk, director of operations for Northeastern Universitys Center for the Study of Sport in Society. The real story here is the meeting of expectations with reality, Czesniuk said.
