ZNMD sequel not on the cards: Zoya Akhtar

Are producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar and director Zoya Akhtar planning a sequel to the immensely likable and successful film ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’? A lot many people feel there’s scope for a sequel and the makers should make one. Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif tie the knot towards the final moments of the movie,while Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol remain bachelors. Therefore,the excited viewers feel that the makers can take the story forward. But director Zoya Akhtar,who penned the script of the film with Reema Kagti,feels that a sequel is not on the cards as yet.

“Yes,a lot of viewers have sent requests on a social networking website vis-a-vis making a sequel,but,honestly speaking,the thought of making a sequel hasn’t crossed my mind,” said Zoya.

“I genuinely feel that we should tell stories that excite us and right now I haven’t decided what I plan to make next. A sequel is not on the cards right now. Let me enjoy the moment,before I start work all over again,” she added.
