Teach For India is organising the 'Teach for India Week' in Pune from January 7 to 12. They will have leaders from across sectors in Pune to take on the role of teachers in low-income, under-resourced municipal or private schools all over Pune. Happening for the first time in Pune, the event will have leaders from across sectors take on the role of teachers in low-income, under-resourced municipal or private schools all over Pune. They will spend one hour of their time in the classrooms to experience educational inequity in our country first-hand and to be a part of the movement to eliminate this disparity. Personalities like Anu Aga, former chairman, Thermax, Sanjiv Parida, vice president HR, Tech Mahindra and Anupam Sidharth, director, Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication will be a part of the programme.

Inter-NGO Sports Meet, an annual initiative of Concern India Foundation, organized by Secure Giving, is scheduled on January 13 at Sanas Ground, near Saras Baug, Pune, from 8 am to 6 pm. The meet will see a convergence of 400 children from different NGOs spread across Pune from the age group of 8 to 14 years. This is the fourth edition of the sports day event for the children of the economically weaker section of the society.
