“Material Girl” Madonna will celebrate the New Year at a remote Rajasthan village, along with her husband and son and five family friends.

Madonna arrived here today for a five-day visit by a chartered flight from the Maldives at around 2.15 pm and after completing immigration and customs formalities flew to Jodhpur, Airport Director Anuj Agarwal told PTI in Jaipur.

In Jodhpur, the singer stayed at Hotel Taj Hari for a brief while before driving to Dechu village where she would spend the night at a private heritage resort, sources said.

Madonna would travel to Jaisalmer tomorrow and visit the tourist spots there before going to Pali, where she would stay in Ranibagh heritage hotel.

She is also likely to visit the Ramakrishna Jain temple in the district and Udaipur city. Her personal security guards arrived in Jodhpur three days ago and tight security is in place at the hotels and areas she is likely to visit during her tour.
