  • Highest, again

Sachin Tendulkar set a record of most Test hundreds by an Indian against Australia — 9th hundred in 46 innings of 25 Tests vs Australia

Overall 39th hundred in 236 innings of 146 Tests.

Previous record: Sunil Gavaskar 8 centuries in 31 innings of 20 Tests vs Australia.

Landmark II: Tendulkar’s unbeaten 124 is also his 88th score of more than 50, second only to Australian Allan Border’s 90. While Border played 265 innings, Tendulkar has played just 236.

451: This also lifts Tendulkar’s aggregate in the series to 451, the first time Tendulkar has topped 450 in a single series. His previous highest was also against Australia, at home nearly 10 years back, when he destroyed Shane Warne on the way to scoring 446 in the three-Test series.
