A pledge for change,a resolve for dignity

The India Book of Records,New Delhi,acknowledging Chitra’s effort,described her as a versatile writer. Chitra recently received a citation from India Book of Records that reads: Chitra Lele has penned the maximum number of books in a span of 18 months,from September 2008 to February 2010.”

It says that two books have already been published while others are ready for publication. Collectively,she has penned more than 3,33,000 words.

Chitra has done her MS in software engineering from BITS Pilani and computer engineering from Symbiosis.

When she wrote her first book,The 6 Spheres of Life: Unlocking the Door to Success and Happiness,her parents just couldn’t believe it. “Last month,her second book was published,we were thrilled as now we are fully convinced she is great author in the making,” said her father G G Lele (62),a retired bank manager,on Monday.

Her latest book,Organisation Democracy: Collaborative Team Culture: Key to Corporate Growth,published last month was displayed at Dubai and Delhi international fairs. “The book has been lauded by several best-selling authors,business experts and management gurus like Jack Zigon,” says Chitra.

The first book sold 2,000 copies and made it to the Limca Book of Records for 78 commendation letters. “Even President Pratibha Patil praised it,” smiles Chitra. Her books have been published by Atlantic Publishers,Delhi.

Claiming that her latest book The Perfect Configuration unfolds a novel theory,Chitra says,“It’s about identifying and balancing different members in a team. There are some shy and some bold members. Some have crystal clear ideas,others are creative,a few are down-to-earth,a couple of them could be highly enthusiastic. It is about balancing them all,taking the positive points for the team’s overall success,” says Chitra.

Two of her books are poetry. Chitra insists her writings are directed at bringing social transformation. “There is so much social aberration and money-mindedness especially among youngsters. Today’s youth seem to be obsessed with pub culture. Social values and principles are last on their agenda. If my writings go bring about an awakening even among a handful,my purpose of social transformation would be achieved,” says Chitra.
