  • With Rahul Gandhi taking a special interest in his ministry, Union Minister of State for Rural Development Pradeep Jain Aditya’s apprehension was that he himself might be overlooked. Reason: His office was housed in Nirman Bhawan and not Krishi Bhawan, where the rest of the Rural Development Ministry is located. Worse, the other two Ministers of State in the ministry, Agatha Sangma and Sisir Adhikari — both from non-Congress parties unlike him — had been allotted office in the Krishi Bhawan. Jain did some research and came to know about a room in Krishi Bhawan that was office of MoS, Agriculture, in the previous term but was now unoccupied. After six months of persistence, Jain has finally succeeded in getting that room allocated to him.
