A rural school shows the way

  • A School located in rural areas has done exceedingly well in the SSC exams. For the first time, as many as 10 students of Angel High School, Kadam Wak Wasti in Loni Kalbhor have scored 90 per cent or more marks. In celebration mode, the staff of the school went to the children's home and felicitated them.

    Among the students who excelled include Prasad Lanke 95.23 per cent, Mannu Podwal 94.46 per cent, Amit Gandhi 92.23 per cent, Neha Khaire 92.92 per cent, Priyanka Sarode 92.61 per cent, Monica Khandelwal 91.53 per cent, Shilpa Kalbhor 91.23per cent, Suhas Lekkad 91.07 per cent, Sangaram Zende 91.07 per cent and Janhavi Deshmukh. Prasad Lanke scored the highest in maths, getting 149 marks out of 150. Prasad Lande and Priyanka Sarode each scored 91 marks in Marathi. Prasad also scored the highest 86 marks in English and 97 in Sanskrit.

    School principal Farshid Irani and Parveen Iran credited the success of the school to the hard work of the students and the support and guidance provided by teaching staff. School director Omprakash Sharma and other management members congratulated the successful students and the teachers. Class teachers Pooja Singh and Shamsad Kotwal and other teachers who taught the SSC students have drawn praise.

    T Ravindran, a sports teachers, said the school has proved that is one of the outstanding institutes in rural areas. "Our school is undoubtedly the best one in rural areas. It is not easy having as many 10 students scored over 90 per cent marks," Ravindran said. "It is one of the happiest and unforgettable moments for our school. We are all proud of the students," he said. Ravindran said school principal and vice-principal constantly monitor the progress of the children. "The entire team works in co-ordination and team spirit," he added.
