“We intend to get more does (female deer) so that more breeding is possible. There is no dearth of veterinary doctors as well as forest officials in the area where we intend to set up a Chital breeding centre. This kind of land works well for the spotted deer in the area, as it is a wide clean patch of land,” Prasad added.
Speaking to The Indian Express, Pradeep Khanna, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (PCCF), Gujarat state Forest department said, “We are considering this proposal, however, nothing can be said right now since it is too early to comment on this stage.”
