Abandoned bag found in Mumbai suburb

Hours after the serial blasts in the metropolis,an abandoned bag was found in suburban Santacruz and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) rushed to the spot to check its contents,police said.

A phone call was received saying a bag was lying unattended in Santacruz following which a team of BDDS reached to the spot,police said.

Police Control Room was flooded with phone calls regarding unattended bags and abandoned vehicles being found in the city,they said.

“We are checking all these places. In some places,nothing suspicious was found,” said a police official.
