In yet another incident of this kind, a new-born girl child was found abandoned on the roadside in Focal Point Phase 7 yesterday morning. The baby, wrapped in a sheet, is believed to have been born a few hours before he was spotted by one Kamal Bahadur when he was crossing the road yesterday at 6 a.m.
Kamal, who works in a canteen of a factory in Focal Point, Phase 8, was on his way to bring milk when the cries of a baby caught his attention. “When I heard the cries of a little baby, I stopped immediately. After looking here and there, I finally found that a girl child wrapped in a sheet lying abandoned on the roadside. I immediately informed the police,” said Kamal Bahadur.
The umbilical cord, was fresh and blood was oozing out of it, which was a clear indication that the baby was born not more than an hour back. In addition to this, even the thin membrane outside the baby’s body was also not cleaned.
The baby has been admitted to a nearby Vardaan hospital and Kamal has expressed his desire to adopt this child because he is not having any baby although he has been married for more than 18 years. The baby meanwhile is hale and hearty and has become centre of attraction for the entire hospital staff as well apart from Kamal Bahadur’s family.
Kamal who lives in Bhammian Kalan village, is bearing the expenses of baby care at Vardaan hospital and the entire family of Kamal is busy in bringing gifts for the little angel. He lives in Bhammian Kalan village.
