Abhishruti Bezbaruah, a promising young artist in the field of Hindustani classical vocal music, enthralled the audience with her powerful and enthralling voice at a recently held concert at Epicentre in Gurgaon.
With controlled and mastered vocals, Abhishruti, who is one of the favourite disciples of renowned maestros Padma Bhushan Guru Pt. Rajan and Pt. Sajan Mishra, captivated music lovers as she rendered 'Raga Jogkauns' in which we heard the 'bada khayal' kahe gumaan kare tu baware, followed by a 'chota khayal' which is a fast pace composition jagat hai samajh sapna, which are beautiful compositions of her Gurus.
Her next choice of Raga was 'Raga Malkauns', which is an ancient raga believed to be present ever since sound came into the picture. In this, she presented two compositions brilliantly - one in 'Madhya Laya' Maga rokat aiso dheeth langarawa and a 'drut bandish' Aaj more ghar aayil balama.
She ended the concert with a nicely delivered Bhajan set in 'Raga Charukeshi' Sadho rachna ram banayi.
During the recital, Abhishruti was blessed by the presence of her other gurus Ritesh and Rajnish Mishra, Pt. Arun Chatterjee, Vinod S Kapoor, founder of the VSK baithak and an ardent Classical music lover.
Her powerful performance mesmerised the crowd and it also secured her reputation as a hot new talent to watch out for.
Abhishruti has been pursuing this fine art for the past sixteen years and has been persistently working towards honing her expertise under the tutelage of renowned Gurus Pt. Rajan and Pt. Sajan Mishra of Banaras Gharana.
