    Recipient of Mother Teresa award by Omini College, Canada, she has signed partnership with the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, for development of international standard nursing in Punjab.

    With a masters in psychiatric nursing, she is an ideal teacher for grooming would-be nurses. Her involvement in this line has encouraged her younger daughter Taman Preet to take it up for a career, while the elder one, Kamal Preet, is a physiotherapist in Boston, USA. Her husband is the divisional head in a leading food processing company. Though quite pleased with her accomplishments so far, she aims at introducing a master’s programme and courses in cardio thoracic and critical care Nursing in her college.
