ACB unearths assets of Rs 59 lakh from Tahsildar

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials today unearthed disproportionate assets worth over Rs 59 lakh allegedly belonging to a Tahsildar at Sangareddy town in Medak district of Andhra Pradesh.

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials today unearthed disproportionate assets worth over Rs 59 lakh allegedly belonging to a Tahsildar at Sangareddy town in Medak district of Andhra Pradesh.

Simultaneous searches were conducted by ACB officials at the residence of T Chalma Reddy at Miyapur in Ranga Reddy district and at his office at Sangareddy as also at the residences of his relatives and friends which resulted in unearthing disproportionate assets worth about 59 lakh.

The market value of the assets would be in several crores,an ACB release said.

The assets include four house plots,one three-storied building,7.19 acres of agricultural land,one car and household articles among other items.

The Special Tahsildar would be arrested and produced before the Principal Special Judge for ACB cases,the release said.
