Actor Darshans bail plea adjourned to Oct 7

The vacation Bench of the Karnataka High Court on Tuesday adjourned the hearing on the bail application of Kannada actor Darshan,who was arrested for allegedly assaulting and threatening his wife,till October 7.

Justice B V Pinto adjourned arguments on the bail plea after directing Special Public Prosecutor Vijay Kumar Majjige to file his objection on the next date of hearing. Darshan,is presently lodged in Parappana Agrahara Central Prison.

The court had on September 22 adjourned the hearing on his bail plea by two weeks after Darshans counsel moved for an early hearing. The actor moved the HC after his bail pleas were rejected.

The police said the trio from Chandigarh — Rohan (21), Sumit (22), and Mohit (19) — were dhol players by profession and had procured the weapons due to an old rivalry with local residents.
