Actor Ravi Kishan’s housemaid jumps to death

A 22-year-old domestic help of Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan on Friday allegedly committed suicide by jumping from a high-rise apartment where the actor resides,police said.

The victim,Rubi Sahani,plunged to death from the 14th floor of Garden Estate Apartments in Bangur Nagar area of suburban Malad,Deputy Police Commissioner Mahesh Patil said.

According to Patil,Rubi,who was employed by Kishan’s family two months ago,locked herself in the bathroom of the house and then jumped from the window of the bathroom. However,no suicide note was found at the spot.

Kishan’s wife,children and other servants were inside the house at the time of the incident,Patil added.

Statements of Kishan’s family and other servants are being recorded,the DCP added.

Kishan went out of station for shooting today and police will soon be questioning him.

The investigation done so far by the police has revealed that the deceased was facing some personal problems and had come to the city over two months ago.

The police said Rubi was brought to Mumbai by a spot-boy about two months ago and upon his request,she was employed as domestic maid by the actor.

Ravi Kishan is a television personality who also works in Hindi and Bhojpuri cinema. He became a known face after his participation in the reality show Bigg Boss in 2006.
