The information collected through RTI said that while the allocation of central funds to agriculture and co-operation was Rs 280.44 crore during the NDA regime, it rose to Rs 1514.53 during the UPA rule. Similarly, for rural development Rs 2024.68 crore was allocated during NDA term while Rs 3628.22 crore was allocated during the UPA regime.

The booklet, to be distributed in entire Gujarat by Congress in the run-up to the polls, said that while the total allocation during the NDA rule from 2000 to 2004 was Rs 25,935.10 crore, it rose to Rs 59,989 crore during the UPA regime.

Modhwadia alleged that the BJP's prime ministerial candidate recently presented a group called "Team Advani" and pointed out that the saffron party has given tickets to five of them who were involved in scams.

"We call them the "Gang Advani" as they have scamsters in the team," said the Gujarat leader. He referred to the candidature of C R Patil, Darshana Ben, Deepak Sathi, Prabhatsinh Chauhan and Bhavsinh Rathore in the elections alleging that all of them had a criminal past and were involved in one scam or the other.

He also kep quiet as the Home Minister when Gujaratis were raping, looting and killing the neighbors. Gujratis have money now. So they should be happy about destroying mosques and should vote for Advani.

But, the fact that the first recorded Hindu-Muslim conflict had taken place in the year 1853 during the British rule is conveniently forgotten. It is not possible that the issue just surfaced that year, but was probably brewing right from the day the Bbri Masjid was built. It is to be believed that the Hindus could not raise the issue boldly until the Mughal empire was nearing its end by early 1850s. Interestingly, none of the so-called Hindutwa organizations of today was even born during that time. The first of such organization, the RSS was formed in 1925 only, i.e. 73 years after the first recorded Hindu-Muslim conflict over Ram janmabhoomi. Therefore, the propaganda that RSS was responsible for creating the Ramjanmabhoomi issue is a blatant lie. The fact is, neither the British government until 1947 nor the subsequent secular governments ever wanted the problem to be resolved, but they wanted to keep it alive as part of their divide and rule strategy.

Advani has not done anything for Ghandhinagar and GujaratBy: bhupendra | 09-Apr-2009 Reply | Forward Now the ball is in the court of Advani.Whenever he has come to Ghandinagar,he has talk about national and international issues,if time is available,otherwise to abuse Congress.What he has repaid to Gujarat.Nothing.It is said once he has told Fernandis that Gujarat is best cow to milk because it can not ask even fodder.In Gujarat take care of few leaders,in turn they will befool their own persons.There is lot of differences within BJP and on 8-4-09 at Ahmedabad Advani told not to be over confident.This was directed towards to BJP(Gujarat)as the performance was bad in 2004 and that happened when 117 MLAs were sitting in Assembly.Advani has not forgotten this.Modi is malso keeping Advani on toes.He told that i am also required to concentrate more on other area than Gujarat.I am of the opinion that we as Gujarati should look to our interest.If anybody is not utility to us should not get elected from Gujarat,it may be Congress or Bjp or other party.All elected MPs should be loyal to Gujarat.All candidate must assure this to us,Gujaratis
