Ahead of the unveiling of new Af-Pak strategy by Obama Administration,an Afghan leader has asked the US lawmakers to listen to the voices of Afghan people and incorporate their viewpoints in the new policy. "The Obama administration should pay key attention to the Afghan public who has been the victim of war for three decades. It should realise the importance of the Afghan public and their effects on the security and political situation of the country," said a 20-page report submitted recently to the US lawmakers and Obama Administration. The report, prepared by California-based Afghan student leader Sarwar Ahmedzai, observes that people of the country now want to have an end to this three-decade old civil war. A copy of the report has been acquired by PTI. "The US administration should focus more on economic developments and should also work on political settlement of the crisis as well, instead of just military action," he said. Ahmedzai recently visited Afghanistan and held a series of meetings with the lawmakers, common people, tribal leaders and policy makers in the run up to prepare the report, done at the request of some eminent US Congressmen. "The US can't win the war in Afghanistan without winning the heart of its people," he said.
