Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray on Saturday displayed before the media what he claimed was another proof of bogus voter cards being used in the state. At a news meet held at his residence here,Raj displayed bogus monograms of the Election commission that had been seized by his party workers from Nashik.
Earlier,MNS workers had displayed bogus ration cards that can be used as identification document for voting. A case in this regard is pending in the High Court. Raj had met state chief electoral officer Debasis Chakraborty at the Mantralaya two weeks ago,asking him to intervene in the issue and stop treating ration cards as identity proof as it does not have photographs.
