  • As it listed out the measures being taken to improve service, beleaguered national carrier Air India had a rather interesting admission to make before Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel. The airline told Patel that it was making a conscious effort to address passenger complaint of “dowdy mummies” on board. The airline also informed the minister that in addition to the new uniform designed by Ritu Beri, it had asked the cabin crew to wear only pearls and no other jewellery. The carrier also stated that it had circulated “make-up advice” from a beauty consultant to the cabin crew as per their skin types.
