Ajay Devgn pledges support for Earth Hour

Actor Ajay Devgn today urged everyone to use energy smartly and switch off lights when not necessary.

Actor Ajay Devgn today urged everyone to use energy smartly and switch off lights when not necessary.

Earth Hour,the country’s largest environmental campaign organised by WWF-India this time had the 43-year-old actor lending his support to the cause in suburban Mumbai today.

To draw attention and address the problem of climate change,Ajay encouraged Indians to not only switch off lights for Earth Hour but to go beyond and save power to protect the planet.

“I have pledged support for this cause. I think each one of us has the power to make a difference. We just need to be conscious of it and make wise choices. We need to take simple steps,” he said.

“At home we ask children to switch off lights and fans when not necessary. I think everybody can make a difference,” he said.

Mumbai is set to observe the fifth annual Earth Hour between 8.30-9.30 pm on Saturday.

Considering he is an actor,and used to all luxuries in life,Ajay said,”It is not that we are roaming in AC all the time. In fact we shoot in all conditions be it hot,cold or rainy. We go through everything. It is not an easy job.”
