Protesting against UP Chief Minister Mayawatis excessive spending,Samajwadi Party will hold a cycle yatra from Noida to Agra on Friday. The Yatra,to be headed by party general secretary Akhilesh Yadav,will begin at 10 am outside the Rashtriya Dalit Prerna Sthal and will conclude at Agra on Monday at 5 pm. Samajwadi Party members said close to 8,000 party workers are expected to collect at the starting point of the event. Vijender Bhati,Zila Adhyaksh,Gautam Buddh Nagar said,The beginning is symbolic as it is right outside the spot where the Chief Minister has wasted 685 crore of public money,simply to glorify herself. While she travels around the state by her helicopter,our leader,Akhilesh Yadav will go by a cycle,and actually listen to the peoples problems. Underlining the main reasons behind the yatra,Bhati said,If you look at the state of Uttar Pradesh and Noida in particular,everything is in a mess. All development work is entirely superficial. The exterior roads will be expressways,but in the interiors,there are potholes all over. Kidnapping and robbery have become a business and farmers land has also been taken away without proper compensation. However,the traffic police said no diversions will be put in place on Friday. A senior traffic official said,They have not told us that they want to actually stay at one spot. The information we have is that they intend to collect and then move along the highway to Noida. So there are no diversions,but extra police personnel will be deployed along the route.
