Central Excise Commissionerate, Ludhiana, celebrated Akshay Urja Diwas at its Rishi Nagar office to mark the birth anniversary of late former PM Rajiv Gandhi.

Sanjay Sharan, Additional Commissioner, V M Verma, Deputy Commissioner, and Subhash Batra, Superintendent, addressed the staff on this occasion. Stress was laid on the need to promote national integration and maintain communal harmony among people of all the religions, languages and regions.

Subhash Batra, Superintendent, through his poem ‘Dua’ urged the staff members to create an environment full of communal harmony.

SK Mehta, DC (P&V), said that the Central Excise Commissionerate, Ludhiana, would also celebrate “Communal harmony fortnight” from August 20 to September 3 at its headquarters.
