With the government coming under attack over the Indo-US defence pact that enables physical inspection of equipment purchased from America,Defence Minister A K Antony today said “all concerns have been addressed after three years of hard bargaining”.

Antony told reporters on the sidelines of an Army Hospital Day function that the End User Monitoring Agreement (EUMA) will take care of all concerns and that External Affairs Minister S M Krishna has already clarified on the matter in Parliament.

Almost the entire Opposition was critical of government’s move to sign the EUMA with the US,which would permit inspection of defence equipment acquired from America.

It is a reality now.” To a question on reports of Pakistan building bunkers along the international border,Antony said that there was no such information with him.

On celebrating Kargil Day this year,Antony said that he and the armed forces chiefs would pay respect to martyrs on the Amar Jawan Jyoti at Indian Gate on July 26.
