A day after her father Sanjay Dutt was sentenced to five years in connection with the 1993 Mumbai Blasts case, the actor's eldest daughter Trishala Dutt thanked all her fans for their support and said it was a tough time for her family.
Sanjay Dutt was sentenced to five years jail by the Supreme Court on Thursday for possession of illegal weapons in a long-running case linked to the 1993 Mumbai blasts.
Trishala, who is the daughter of Sanjay Dutt and his first wife Richa Dutt, stays in the US with her maternal grandparents.
"Thank you for all your prayers and concerns. Extremely tough time for me and my family...were all in shock be we have to be strong," tweeted Trishala, who is known to be very close to her father.
Sanjay Dutt has three children, eldest is Trishala Dutt and twins Iqra and Shahraan from his third wife Maanyata Dutt.
24-year-old Trishala has been showered with tweets from her father's fans and followers wishing them luck and praying for Sanjay Dutt.

Sanjay Dutt, who confined himself in his 10th floor flat at 'Imperial Heights' in suburban Bandra with his family after the verdict, now plans to file a review petition.
"My family is very emotional right now and I have to be strong for them. I am shattered and in emotional distress. I am sorry I can't come down and meet you all. God is great and he will guide me through this," he said in a statement.
