  • Former vice-president Bhairon Singh Shekhawat may be out of office, but he is not quite living a retired life—and he lets the world know it. He attended public functions in Rajasthan and Gujarat last month, and last week, was the chief guest of the Swadeshi Mela organised by the Swadeshi Jagran Manch in Agra. Travelling by road from Delhi, he attended a brief felicitation function at Mathura too. Shekhawat promised in his Agra speech to be available all the time to look into people’s problems. Nobody is quite sure what is on his mind, but it is apparent he thinks he can still play another innings for the BJP.
