Master Tara Singh Yadgari Committee is going to celebrate 125th birthday of Master Tara Singh on June 22 at Gurudwara Shaheedan (Pheruman).

Kulwant Singh Dukhiya, president of the committee, said, “On this occasion, Charanjit Singh Atwal, fomer speaker of the Lok Sabha, will preside over the function. While Master Tara Singh’s grand daughter Kiranjot Kaur, Education Minister Dr Upinderjit Kaur, Avtar Singh Makkar, presidnet of SGPC, Heera Singh Gabria, Cabinet Minister etc will also partcipate. The family members of people who were close to Master Tara Singh will also be honoured on the occasion.”

He further said that a memorandum would also be submitted for installing a statue of Master Tara Singh in the city, establishing a chair after his name in Punjabi University, Patiala, and giving the status of freedom fighters to the state freedom fighters.
