Having acted in films like Kaksparsh and won critical acclaim for her roles actress Priya Bapat was in the city recently for the launch of the third outlet of Krishna Rajaram Ashtekar Jewellers on October 21. The 3000 sq ft showroom at Empire Estate, Old Mumbai-Pune Road, Chinchwad displays jewellery that varies from traditional temple jewellery to sophisticated Italian designs in gold and silver. "Our relationship with customers is flourishing for four generations. The store will be easily accessible for our customers residing in areas like Dehu Road, Alandi, Chinchwad, Pimpri, Bhosari, Ahmednagar and Hinjewadi," says Atul Ashtekar, Director KRA. " To cater to the needs of the upcoming wedding season, we have a bridal collection in gold, silver as well as diamond jewellery," he adds.

The grand finale of Believe It or Not Carnival was held at Koregaon Park Plaza on October 21. The month-long carnival featured music shows, cultural programmes and food festivals as Punekers displayed their talent to compete for world records. Dance to the tunes

The Pune Navratri Mahotsav featured a lavani festival on Saturday with several performances by different groups from 12 pm to 10 pm at Shri Ganesh Kala Krida Rangmanch. The groups were led by Aishwarya Badde, Dipti Aaher, Reshma Javlekar, Priyanka Shetty, Shivani, Archana Sawant and Pooja Punekar. They danced to popular lavani numbers such as 'Apsara Aali', 'Vajle ki bara' and 'Ya ravji basa Bhaoji'.
