The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, on Friday, asked the Principal Secretary (Home) to place the services of Dharm Singh Uppal, SP (Detective) Nawanshahr under suspension with immediate effect. The order of his suspension has been issued after the reports that he intimidated the witnesses of an assault on a Burundi national and student of Lovely University, in which his own son, Romi Uppal, has been named as an accused.
