Balki and AmitabhBy: Sunil M S | 06-Jun-2009 Reply | Forward Balki’s ‘Cheeni Kum’ is a film I can watch any number of times and still enjoy it. The child in the film is etched in my memory. The romance between a 60 year old (Amitabh) and a youthful, gentle girl (Tabu) was quite unusual and, at the same time, no less enjoyable. It was the first time I came across a story in which the girl’s lover was older than her father. The tug of war between them both was amusing. I am eagerly waiting for Balki’s ‘Pa.’
