The proctor of Aligarh Muslim University,Mohammad Zubair Khan,resigned from the post on Wednesday in the wake of students protest demanding his removal. He has been replaced by Prof Mujahidbeg of Department of Medicine for a period of two years. Khans resignation led to the resumption of all administrative activities related with examination and admission on the campus. The office-bearers of the AMU students union had locked the offices of the registrar,examination controller,proctor and finance controller on Monday,demanding removal of Khan for maligning the unions image. The university administration has accepted the resignation of Prof Khan, said AMU spokesperson Zeeshan Ahmad.
