Mumbai-based metal band Bhayanak Maut flew down to the city to release their second studio album. The 10-track compilation does not have a name, though. Instead,it has Rorschach-like images on a blood-red cover. We decided not to name the album since no common theme binds the compilation. It is all about randomness, says singer-songwriter Vinay Venkatesh. One of their songs MNS Messenger may have nothing to do with the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena on the surface, but it does have Marathi lyrics referring to vada pav and maka pav (which alludes to Christians). And in the midst of the metal grind, the heavy sound of the twin guitars, bass and drums and the vocalists constant growls, the bilingual lyrics address the UP bhaiyya Drink now narangi mousambi bhayya. Chew now haathi chaap gaay chaap dokya la taap (Drink illicit liquor. Chew on tobacco till you get brain fever).
