Animal welfare board issues notice to city firm over missing stray dog

    The Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) has issued a notice to city-based Devidayal Agrochemicals, which is accused of displacing a stray dog, asking it to find the same.

    A formal e-mail has been sent by AWBI Legal Advisor Anjali Sharma to Bhavin Patel, General Manager, Devidayal Agrochemicals, which is located at 33 Alkapuri Society. The copy of the same has been sent to other senior company officials, city-based animal activist Hansa Roy who raised the whole issue, Dr R M Kharb, Chairperson, AWBI, D Rajasekhar secretary, AWBI.

    Sharma, while categorically holding the company officials responsible for the illegal act, ordered, “Kindly also have the dog returned to her habitat, from whatever location you’d had her dumped at.”
