Sri Lanka have agreed to play an unscheduled five-match one-day series in Pakistan from April 23 to May 5, official sources confirmed here today.
If the series does go ahead as planned, there will be an addition to the number of players who will be, in part at least, unavailable for the inaugural Indian Premier League which runs from April 19 to June 1.
Pakistan invited Bangladesh and Sri Lanka to play bilateral one-day rubbers after security apprehensions prompted Australia to postpone their tour of the country for a full series which was due to start from March 29.
The IPL also clashes in part with Australia’s tour of the West Indies and New Zealand’s tour of England.
