Another H1N1 death, toll 15 since April

A 48-year-old man from Khed taluka of Pune district who was suffering from fever, cough and general weakness from September 21 died of swine flu on Sunday, taking the death toll to 15 since April this year. The patient was initially admitted to Apex Hospital and shifted to Sahyadri Hospital at Bopodi. He succumbed to the virus, which had aggravated his broncho pneumonia leading to acute respiratory failure, doctors said. Sixteen patients have been hospitalised so far, with one on ventilator support.
